Adriana's Journey to Grad School

Hey Everyone!
As you may have heard, I got into grad school! I will be attending the University of Washington Seattle for the next three years to pursue my MFA in Acting. I am beyond excited to begin this next chapter.
This year has been very rewarding to say the least. It has been transformative in ways I could've never imagined. I am so grateful to be pursuing this degree and to continue pursuing what I am most passionate about. Sharing art and stories.
Over this school year, I have really discovered what it means to be a creative for me. I have made discoveries and connections that were out of the realm of what I thought were possible before. I never would've believed it if you told me 10 years ago that this was going to be my life. Acting, devising and creating an artistic lifestyle that reflects my values. I am enjoying the process of getting molded into a professional artist while also finding all the ways that I am an artist that isn't just acting that have led me to this program. I am a musician, traveler, video-blogger, podcaster and photographer to name a few of my artistic mediums. Through this work I have had the opportunity to either work with you or share a story with with you. I couldn't have done this without you being a part of the journey. That's why I'm here asking you to continue to be apart of the adventure.
During my time in Colorado I worked with youth across the state ages 2-18 in music, movement and theater, I co-produced a podcast that reaches international audiences, I entertained crowds in a couple of the biggest interactive entertainment phenomenons in the Denver Metro Area: the revamped Casa Bonita and 13th Floor Entertainment and I acted in innovative and meaningful productions put on by local theaters. I did all of that and more in Denver. The work I am doing now in grad school is going to send me on a trajectory towards a distinguished career in producing new, exciting and culturally important works.
I have devoted all my time to honing my craft in Seattle with this program. Classes are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with evening and weekend rehearsals on top of that. This year, I made the bold choice to work a part-time job and dog sit in my times when I am not in class or rehearsal. Like I said, bold choice. I have 5 quarters left of this program and am looking ahead to get the support I need to supplement financial aid. I am looking forward to the next couple of years to hopefully not work outside of the school so I can focus on my studies and not spread myself too thin.
Any amount helps and I greatly appreciate your support and you being a part of this journey with me!
