Hi, my name is Izabela and I’m fundraising for My Sister Adriana and her son Eric.

Adriana was diagnosed in February 2022 with stage 4b ​​ovarian cancer with lung and liver metastases. She started treatment with 3 cycles of chemotherapy. Trauma, pain, hair loss.

After three cycles of chemotherapy, a chance for surgery appeared. Along with this, there was a chance to get rid of the disease. Unfortunately, during the operation, it turned out that the disease is so extensive that it is not possible to completely remove it. As quickly as hope appeared, it was taken away. Another three cycles of chemotherapy and another CT scan. There is an improvement, the metastases from the lungs have almost gone, the liver has become smaller, the remaining ones on the ovaries, intestine, nodes have become smaller. Hope again, next treatment, this time immunotherapy.

Pembrolizumab & Lenvatinib… side effects of treatment - intestinal perforation

The first instillation appear kidney problems. Cancer presses on the bladder, a nephrostomy must be made and then stents from the kidneys to the bladder. Three weeks of fighting in the hospital in pain but we made it. New treatment started 5 days ago discharge from the hospital ready to go home.

The first night at home was a little stressful but ok. The day started…lots of rest…a few things done at home... suddenly severe pain in the stomach ... she can't move ... we call an ambulance ... it won’t come because it does not meet the requirements... panic…terrible journey by car in severe pain ... hospital emergency department two hours of waiting ... admission by the doctor...CT scan...devastating news...intestinal perforation...unable to operate...again hospital ward...severe pains, mobility problems, legs and stomach swell...the first antibiotics don't work...the hole is still there...it won't heal...more antibiotics ... less and less chance weeks go by ... it's getting worse ... Ada loses her strength ... the pain is getting bigger ... higher doses of morphine ... more antibiotics don't work ... doses of morphine are so high that Ada has no strength to speak ... all the time she sleeps ... from day to day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second, is getting worse... first shortness of breath... terrifying... accelerated heart rate... 140 per minute... oxygen saturation drops... under oxygen... high fever... doctors ... nothing can be done ... December 12, 2022 at 16:14 ... Mom holds her hand on Ada's chest ... the scream ... „can't feel her heartbeat”…last breath ...

The Angel left us, leaving her son Eryk and all of us...

Purpose of the fundraising: cremation, transport of ashes, moving all of Ada's belongings and her son Eric together with two beloved cats to Poland. Unfortunately, these are huge costs and it fell on us very unexpectedly. We thank you in advance for any help.

Adriana została zdiagnozowana w lutym 2022 roku rak jajnika stadium 4b z przerzutami na płuca i wątrobę. Rozpoczęła leczenie 3 cykle chemioterapii. Trauma, ból, utrata włosów.

Po trzech cyklach chemioterapii pojawiła się szansa operacji. Razem z tym pojawiła się szansa na pozbycie sie choroby. Niestety w trakcie operacji okazało się, że choroba jest tak rozległa, że nie ma możliwości jej całkowitego usunięcia. Tak szybko jak pojawiła się nadzieja tak szybko została odebrana. Następne trzy cykle chemioterapii i kolejny tomograf. Jest poprawa przerzuty z płuc prawie zeszły na wątrobie się pomnieszyły, pozostałe na jajnikach, jelicie, węzłach pomniejszyły się. Znowu nadzieja następne leczenie tym razem immunoterapia.

Znowu walka…następny tomograf…wizyta u specjalisty…znowu nie działa…pogorszyło się…kolejna immunoterapia…

Pierwsza wlewka pojawiają się problemy z nerkami. Rak uciska na pęcherz trzeba zrobić nefrostomie a następnie stenty z nerek do pęcherza. Trzy tygodnie walki w szpitalu w bólu ale udało się. Nowe leczenie rozpoczęte 5 dni temu wypis ze szpitala do domu gotowy…walczymy dalej.

Pierwsza noc w domu trochę w stresie ale spokojnie. Dzień rozpoczęty trochę roboty w domu trochę odpoczynku… nagle ciężki ból w brzuchu…nie można się ruszyć…dzwonimy po karetkę…nie przyjedzie bo nie spełnia warunków…panika przeniesienie do samochodu, okropna podróż w ciężkich bólach…szpital oddział ratunkowy dwie godziny czekania…przyjęcie przez lekarza…tomograf…druzgocąca wiadomość…perforacja jelita…brak możliwości operacji… znowu odział szpitalny…ciężkie bóle, problemy z poruszaniem się, mięśnie siadają, nogi i brzuch puchną…pierwsze antybiotyki nie działają…dziura nadal jest…nie goi się…kolejne antybiotyki…coraz mniejsza szansa tygodnie mijają…jest coraz gorzej…Ada opada z sił…ból coraz większy…większe dawki morfiny…następne antybiotyki nie działają…dawki morfiny są tak duże, że Ada już nie ma siły mówić…cały czas śpi…z dnia na dzień, z godziny na godzinę, z minuty na minutę, z sekundy na sekundę się pogarsza…pierwsze duszności…przerażające…przyspieszona akcja serca…140 na minutę…saturacja spada…pod tlenem…wysoka gorączka…lekarze…już nic nie da się zrobić…12 grudnia 2022 o godzinie 16:14…Mama trzyma rękę na klatce Ady…krzyk…już nie bije…ostatni oddech…

Odszedł od nas Anioł pozostawiając synka Eryka i Nas wszystkich…

Cel zbiórki: kremacja, przewiezienie prochów, przeprowadzka wszystkich rzeczy Ady oraz jej syna Eryka wraz z dwoma kotkami do Polski. Są to niestety ogromne koszty i spadło to na nas bardzo niespodziewanie. Za każdą pomoc z góry dziękujemy.
