Adrian's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, July 1st, just minutes after arriving at a cabin in Shaver for a fun-filled weekend, 10 year old Adrian Porter slipped on a pile of pine needles into a covered burn pile from a recent tree clearing project. He was submerged in hot ash from his feet to his knees, and his left arm and hand that he utilized to try and climb out of the insanely hot rubble.
Adrian had to be airlifted & is currently at CRMC's Burn Unit. At this time, we know he has full thickness burns to his feet and ankles, 2nd degree burns to his lower legs, and 1st and second degree on his wrist, fingers and arm. There's a good chance he could lose 3-4 toes, all to which he knows. He's had the first of several surgeries that lie ahead for him.
The road to recovery will be long for Adrian. Doctors estimating hospitalization for 2 months initially with follow up over the next year and a half. His Mom/Grandma, Erica Boland, has been by his side & will remain there for the entire gruelling process. She is the sole provider for Adrian & his twin brother, Nathan, and will have to be off of work in order to over see Adrian's care.
PLEASE HELP BY DONATING WHATEVER YOU CAN. The family cannot express just how grateful they are for your prayers & support. ❤️
