Hope to Help Uganda Service Trip
Donation protected
We are the Saint Joseph's College Student Chapter of Doctors Without Borders. This gofundme is part of our fundraising effort to support a student volunteer trip to Uganda through the Partners for World Health organization. In Uganda St. Joe's students would work primarily at a hospital in the city of Kampala, bringing resources of health and education. In addition, they would also work in a women’s clinic on Project 10,000. Project 10,000 has a goal of supplying 10,000 women in Africa with kits containing the supplies necessary for a sterile birth and items to keep their newborn warm.
Our chapter is actively trying to create opportunities for students in Maine to be more involved in global affairs. Our effort to accomplish this won’t reach its maximum effectiveness unless we have the backing of the entire community.
This trip is in January 2020. Our goal of $6000 covers all components of the trip; flight, security, room and board, translators, etc. Any excess earned past the goal from our total fundraising efforts will be donated to the Partners for World Health Nonprofit.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
