Donate To The Calais Van Journey

Donation protected

We have organised a donation day at the HIVE Dalston, London, E8 4DG on Sunday  30th October 10am -7pm check link URGENT DONATION BANK DAY

With financial donations of £3/£5/£10 or whatever you can afford, all together will make a huge impact on how effective we can be volunteering with a van for the Calais refugees!

In this world, we cant trust giving money to just anyone, or a charity we are not personlly connected to, trust in me and Kay Michael. We promise to use your donation carefully and keep you updated on the decisions we make.

The situation for the Calais Refugees keeps changing but we can keep moving with the van, keep picking up the most needed, vital, survival stocks like water, sleeping bags, waterproofs, delivering straight away to the people that need them the most. Your donation will mean that we can use the van for longer and be as much help as we can be. This could save lives, this could make a big differance, these people are already being forced off camp site, there are reports of tents being burnt down, people being smoked out, these people are going to be on the move and they are totally unprepared as they face the harshest time of year...winter.

We will be in communication with Help Refugees. The situation of the Calais Camp (Jungle) is constantly changing and by speaking with the poeple on the ground, we will get the best idea of where to go and how to help. We are mobile and we can help!

...this all started because as October begins...I personally start thinking about my birthday, like we all do, I start plans for the 26th...I normally go away, vacation, or take time off work for myself but this time with the refugee crisis so massive, being the granddaugher of migrants myself, October doesn't have the feel the same...what is it really costing me, hey, to spend some time volunteering where the goverment and UN are failing? I am a huge supporter of 'Campaign Against the Arms Trade' who I feel are doing the best work - tackling the increased illegal military action overseas, but for now - some of us who can should help the growing refugee crisis...Kay and I met at HIVE Dalston and got talking about a trip there and so the idea of taking a van with donations came about...

...the eviction warning on the 17th October has come into the press which has only made us more determeined to head out there, determined to keep these people at the forefront of our minds...I remember seeing the terrible images of bulldozers into peoples tents/homes early this year...this time at least WE can say we helped somehow...

...then on the 1st Nov myself
and Kay Michael will head down in a massive van and see how much we can help out...

...if you would normally see me for my birthday and normally pick up something or buy me a drink, I know its cheeky to ask but please donate to the page instead...

...the donation will go towards buying more useful items for the refugees, using the van as best we can, being more mobile aiding with paying for petrol, we might buying a van, etc...

...small donations, many people's collect effort, al take you with me, we can use the van to its maximum potencial...

...love and light. Thank you for reading this and understanding...
