BLISTERS AND BURNS
The Black Anchor Irish Bar Tavira and East Algarve Walking Football
have been supporting The Pink Flamingo Croquet and Social Club's
efforts to assist East Algarve Families in Need with practical and
monetary contributions in these unprecedented times.
Our own Mark Fox (Foxy) has made use of the lockdown and has been
putting some hours in on his rowing machine.
In May he will be attempting to row a Half Marathon (13.2 miles,
21km) in aid of East Algarve Families in Need. Anyone who has ever
sat on one of these torture machines will understand what a grim task
this will be.
He had never rowed more than 10k until last week and is totally
unprepared but hoping to nurse his blisters and burns in unspeakable
places for a time under 1hour 40 minutes.
If you would like to reward his suffering and donate to this worthy
cause please use the link.
Thank you from all of us here and stay safe wherever you may be. x
