Adventure with Purpose - Murchison River Gorge Charity Hike

Donation protected

Step into a journey of personal triumph and philanthropy with Chelle, and her team Down Under on the 'Adventure with Purpose' Murchison River Gorge Walk.

Every year Chelle hits the trails to celebrate her sober anniversary, and raise awareness and funds for a cause close to her heart. Over the years, Chelle has embarked on several impactful adventures, each one driven by a passion for raising awareness and supporting important causes. In 2017, she organized an inspiring 8-day Multiday Hike on the Camino Salvado - The Pilgrim Trail, spanning 212km from Subiaco to New Norcia. This adventure, undertaken by four women, was dedicated to raising awareness for Mental Health and Addiction while fundraising for The Women's Centre in Perth. Following a long hiatus, Chelle returned to the trails in 2022 to commemorate her 8th year of sobriety with a remarkable challenge: conquering 8 mountains in 8 days. This endeavor not only raised awareness for Domestic Violence but also supported fundraising efforts for Albany Family Domestic Violence. In 2023, Chelle continued the tradition of impactful adventures by completing the exhilarating 9 Waterfalls in 9 Days expedition. Once again, the journey was dedicated to raising awareness for Family Domestic Violence, this time fundraising for Ovis, a not for profit organization in Peel.

Through these experiences, it's obvious the transformative power of hiking as a tool for advocacy and community engagement, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful journey this year with the 4 day Adventure with Purpose - Murchison River Gorge Charity Hike. It's a big one this year, 10 years sober, a remarkable milestone and as such a remarkable adventure awaits.

Chelle has chosen to support 'Hello Sunday Morning', an organization that offers vital support and resources for individuals looking to change their habits with alcohol. Hello Sunday Morning's mission to transform relationships with alcohol resonates with Chelle's journey, providing her with the inspiration and motivation she needed to make a change with her own addition struggles. Founded in Australia, Hello Sunday Morning provides evidence-based digital health management tools and access to lived-experience peer support through their free app, Daybreak.
