HELP BRING MY MOTHER HOME

On September 11, 2022 my mother Juanita Holley received her wings. I am going to truly miss my mothers personality, laughter, kindness, and her smile. My family and I would like to thank each and everyone of you who donated to her go fund me to bring her home. I will be using the funds for funeral services to put my mother to rest. Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I am requesting your help to bring my mother, Juanita Holley, who is currently hospitalized in Los Angeles, California, back home with me in Austin, TX.

In April, what was supposed to have been a short trip from Texas to California to visit her sister that has breast cancer turned into a complete nightmare. Unfortunately, while there, my beautiful, vibrant, LOVING, energetic mother suffered multiple strokes and has been hospitalized ever since. As a result of the severity of her strokes, my mother is unresponsive, ALONE, and unable to communicate her wants and needs. My brother and I have been taking turns traveling back and forth from Austin to LA to be present and make sure that she is getting the best care; a great task that has exhausted both of our resources. Our next visit will make the 5th time for each of us. Each visit is even more difficult than the last to leave as it seems that when our Mom is left a couple of days, without seeing our faces, her health deteriorates.

It is our desire to have our Mother back, here with us in Austin so that we can be more accessible and a part of the decision-making process as it relates to nurturing her back to health. Our Mother is a Widowed Wife of a deceased VETERAN who before this lived alone with limited resources. Medical costs are rising tremendously, and we have not been able to get any assistance in getting her back home. Due to her condition, to transport our Mother she would require medical supplies and the accompaniment of a Nurse on a Medical flight which alone cost upwards of $8,000, none of which is covered by health insurance or VA Benefits. Due to the lack of funds and limited military benefits, it is impossible to pay for her to return home; and with that we humbly seek to raise at least $10,000 to assist with her transport.

Our Mom has never met a stranger and is truly welcoming to all that she meets. She has a heart of GOLD and willingly showers love and affection when you're in her presence. If you were hungry, nothing would satisfy her soul more than to fix you up a hot homemade meal!! I miss that about her; her laugh, her wisdom, more importantly I miss her hugs. I just want my best friend back... most importantly I NEED HER NEAR so that without a doubt, I know that she is getting the absolute best as possible.

With a gracious heart, we are asking for financial support to help us in this journey to bring our Mother home. No amount is too small as any amount given will make a significant impact. We thankfully welcome all prayers and well wishes in our endeavor.
