AED Fundraiser - Clinton Prairie Boys and Girls Rec Leagues

Hello - my name is Jeremy Kinsler. I have partnered with Clinton Prairie Baseball and Softball Rec Leagues to achieve a goal of purchasing (2) Automated External Defibrillators, commonly referred to as AEDs to add a new layer of protection for our players, coaches, umpires, parents, and fans.

Clinton Prairie Rec League games are held in Mulberry and Colfax, IN, which are both remote locations with potentially longer than normal response times in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Sudden cardiac arrest affects more than 1,000 people per day, and early defibrillation, along with immediate CPR, is critical to increasing a person's chance of survival.

We have partnered with Cintas in our efforts to purchase (2) ZOLL Plus AED units with CPR feedback. An AED detects irregular heart rhythm and delivers a shock as needed to try and restore a normal rhythm. With CPR feedback, you will know if the CPR you are providing is high-quality as the AED will provide real-time analysis. It also provides cues for you to perform more effective CPR, such as if you need to push harder to make compressions effective. AEDs with CPR feedback coach those who are trained or non-trained in CPR to provide potentially life-saving aid until first responders arrive on scene.

The price per AED is $1,800, for a total AED fundraising goal of $3,600. The Kiwanis Club of Frankfort, Encompass Credit Union, and NHK Seating have graciously kickstarted our fundraising efforts with a combined donation of $2,500! We would also like to purchase dedicated cabinets and signage for each location. Any level of donation is welcome and appreciated!
