Aedyn Builds A New Life (Accessibility Edition)

Hi Friends, it's Aedyn! I know it has been a little while and I would like to explain a bit about why.

As many of you know I was diagnosed a few years ago with a degenerative spinal condition that has been difficult to manage. Additionally, I seem to have another complicated health issue hitting me that we are still trying to identify.

None of which would matter, except that I reached a point where two things became unfathomably clear: 1. I could no longer work and 2. I could no longer climb stairs, including the 3 flights into the apartment we have been in for 13 years.

I have applied for Long Term Disability Insurance and am still waiting to hear back. In the meantime the lack of a second income in the house has been a struggle. We have brought in our dear friend and my partner who we will call {RED} to help cover costs and for help with logistics as they have been on disability for some time and know the system well.

We've so far been able to get food stamps, and, just the other day, we were able to finally find a two bedroom rental with minimal stairs that we can get into only because we are good friends with the Property Manager for the unit. This is where things get dicey.

We were looking at being homeless on June 1st and are elated to have a place to go (kitty kitty is coming as well!), but now we have about two weeks to come up with the first months rent and security deposit as well as some moving costs.

I know things are tight for everyone right now, but if there is anything at all you can do to help, please know that all of us appreciate it, and would love to get together once we are settled in again.
