Help Mary Recover After the Eaton Canyon Fire
Donation protected
Last night, our dear friend Mary experienced an unimaginable loss. Her home was completely destroyed in the Eaton Canyon fire, and with it, nearly all of her possessions. Thankfully, Mary and her beloved cat, Pablo, are safe and currently staying with a friend. However, she had only moments to evacuate and couldn’t take much with her. The loss she has suffered is profound and heartbreaking.
Mary not only lost her home but also cherished items that carried decades of memories and personal significance. Among the irreplaceable items were:
A cedar chest and dresser her dad bought when she was a child
Her mother’s wedding china
A chair embroidered by her great-grandmother
Her extensive collection of vintage clothing
Aerial and burlesque costumes she created and performed in
Her sewing machine
All of her books
These possessions were more than just things—they told the story of her life, her creativity, and her connection to her family and past. Losing them all at once is a loss that is truly hard to put into words.
Mary has been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from everyone who has reached out. Your kind words have meant the world to her. For those who feel moved to help further, I’ve set up this GoFundMe on her behalf. While we cannot replace the irreplaceable, your donations will provide Mary with the means to begin rebuilding her life.
Your generosity can help cover immediate needs, replace essential items, and provide some stability in the challenging weeks and months ahead. Mary is incredibly grateful for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
Let’s come together to support Mary and help her rebuild. Thank you so much for your kindness.
This fundraiser was started by Lauren Attard and Wynn Sanders, formerly of Lost Spirits, and we have worked with Mary for 6+ years. Mary is aware of this fundraiser and 100% of the donations go directly to her.
