Aeri's Medical, Housing, and Travel Expenses

Friends and Supporters, join me in giving to the Goforth-Huffer Family as they work through their child's recent Leukemia diagnosis.

Aeri, age 5, was recently diagnosed with two types of leukemia and is currently receiving treatment at OHSU. Aeri received a PICC line, and her first dose of chemo was given. She was feeling better and could stay awake, watch two movies, and play some tablet games! The family is still waiting on details of the treatment plan, but tentatively it looks like they will have to stay in Portland for at least four weeks, depending on how Aeri's initial treatment goes.

In addition, Elena, Aeri's mother, is expecting her fourth child and is due within the next few weeks. Soon Elena will also be admitted into the hospital in Portland to remain close to Aeri. As you can imagine, this is a challenging yet joyful time for this family.

The medical bills, medications, and trips up to Portland will be overwhelming. Elena and her family will need support from their "village," both near and far. This village is growing, starting with her work family; we hope you will join us as we provide this family with the financial means they need during this challenging time, allowing them to focus on supporting and caring for Aeri.
