Join Us As We Revolutionize the Access Control Industry!
The AeroCall Solution
Welcome and thank you for visiting us to learn more about us and our mission. We are a group of designers, professionals and engineers with over 30 years of experience in the security and access control industry on an entrepreneurial mission. Recent reports indicate that the access segment of the industry commanded over $6B in revenue in 2015 and is slated for continued robust growth. With our strength in access and authentication, we are pleased to be rolling out the AeroCall - our introductory flagship product that will help revolutionize voice and credential based access control applications. Any funds raised go only to the product and inventory - no fancy suits or clothes, lavish hotels, trips or wasteful perks. Period.
The AeroCall(TM) system is perfectly suited for providing voice-based as well as credential based access control in ways that are cost effective, innovative yet remains easy to use. Anyone that has a gate, door, entrance or area that can be electrically locked or unlocked is a candidate to use the AeroCall system. No cards, no fobs, keypads or "clickers" - all you need is AeroCall and a cell phone.
Product Info and Spec Sheet
The Access Dilemma
Until recently, if you wanted to control access to your property at a gated entrance, door or other access point, there were a few basic solutions. Among them: Install a lock, a keypad or card reader device at the access point. The problem with that approach is that it offers no visitor control. People without the proper key, code or card cannot get past the closed gate or locked entrance - that's usually a good thing - people that have no business gaining access should not be allowed in - right? But it can also lock out folks that might have entry privileges such as family members, visitors, employees, vendors, UPS or FedEx, and others.
To help identify who is at an entrance wanting to get in, the solution to date is to use a telephone-based intercom that can also control the access point. The ability to communicate is very helpful. A visitor can now place a phone call from the intercom using a secure, pre-programmed phone number to identify themselves and seek permission to enter. After talking with the visitor, the called party decides whether to allow access or not. The entrance is controlled by pressing certain digits on the called party's phone. Using a telephone-based intercom for access is well established in the access industry and has proven to be reliable and mostly effective. But even with this solution, there are a few catches.
Wire, Wire Everywhere
To add a phone line for access purposes adds a permanent monthly cost - which can be fairly significant for non-residential applications. Further, wire must be run from the phone service point to wherever the intercom is located. And finally, in recent years, hard-wired land lines from the phone company are becoming increasingly rare given the expense and popularity and lower cost of cell phones. Many people do not even have "land-line" phones in their homes any longer. For small business and homes, the industry has come up with "no-phone-bill" solutions where the intercom can ring directly to a nearby wired phone or office line by direct connection. However, it is still necessary to run wire pairs to and from the intercom. When the distance begins to exceed a 150 or more feet, the labor involved to protect or bury the wiring gets intense and the costs rise quickly. Even after the installation, there is always the risk that the wires could be damaged or cut by lawn equipment, vehicles, construction crews, miscreants and a host of other threats.
The AeroCall Solution
The AeroCall AC8200 solves all of these problems. The AeroCall is a cellular based access system where voice calls can still be made, if needed, but it also leverages the SMS texting and data capabilities of today's cell phones and many of the features that have become so common place. Major advantages include:
*With the AeroCall system, there are no phone wires to pull, bury, hide or get damaged.
*The AeroCall can call any phone - cell, land-line or office switch as long there is cellular service available.
*AeroCall provides control through a visitor initiated phone call, or SMS text commands or inbound calls by authorized users (using App or direct from phone).
*AeroCall also works with and can be programmed from standard land-line phones if needed.
With AeroCall, you have complete access control no matter which side of the gate or door you are facing. Your cell phone is all that you need. Simple and easy.
Real Wireless and Real Solutions
Wherever you can get cell phone signal, you can use the AeroCall solution. For a true "wireless" system, use our Solar Power Kit to run the AeroCall system, gate controller or locks - no need to hire an electrician or contractor for long wire runs or have specialized, expensive solutions installed. The only wiring needed is between the solar kit, the AeroCall and the gate or door. Whether you live on a ranch where your gate is a mile away, wiring is difficult or you just need to control any entrance more easily, the need to install wiring for hundreds or thousands of feet is now a concern of the past.
How We Got Started
AeroCall is a product developed by Covenant Technology Corporation (CTC) - a recent start-up based in Florida. Originally founded by two brothers, one an electronics engineer - the other a software programmer with their collective experience in technology tracing back to the early 1980s - two brothers with massive experience. The brothers shared a vision to bring real innovation into the access control industry. Their assessment of the industry revealed a slow pace of industry leaders to adapt to newer or converging technologies and several opportunities quickly presented themselves. Using the latest cutting edge technologies in wireless, networking and embedded control, the brothers created a product map that would boldly impact the areas of access and communications. Together, they created their first product - a mesh based emergency communication system designed for college campuses and public common areas. Unfortunately, just as they were going to roll out their first prototypes - Tom, our dear brother and Chief Software Engineer passed away suddenly. The loss of Tom, with his vision and skills had a profound impact on the original mission. Rob had to re-think the vision and direction of the venture. It was a difficult period for him and his family. Initially, Rob thought maybe it was better to do something else - but he knew his brother would want him to continue, to forge ahead and to build something that could exceed their original goals. It had to be done. Rob decided to re-group, press on and fulfill the dream they shared: To bring real innovation to their corner of the access and control industry - to become a leader and innovator - not a follower.
Research, Study and Rebirth
With Rob's deep industry experience, several markets were targeted and identified as candidates for innovation. The first target market was selected and pursued with ongoing development and research in the industry, Rob relaunched the business as Covenant Technology Corporation (CTC) in 2012 with a clear plan to establish the company in the growing M2M field. For the first few years, CTC was mostly engaged in the sales, service and installation of gate access, CCTV and general security services - just to pay the bills while development on the AeroCall product continued. During this time, Rob had to wear many hats - Service and Sales of systems by day, Design Engineer, Marketing, R&D, website and Social Media guru at night (while working at other jobs and projects). And Rob had to take over the software and programming his brother had once done. It was not easy; 16+ hour days, little sleep or time off, endless juggling of roles while still looking after his family - the last few years have been tough - but now its time to go to the next level, take the next step - bring the product to market. The fruit of all this labor is now in sight.
What's Finished and Work Still Left To Do
Good design practice requires having clear specifications to work from while also establishing market width, audience, product scope, cost and other factors. So to get started on the first product - the AeroCall - a basic hardware prototype was built and then the core software was designed and completed. Continuing research and customer feedback during this phase played an important role to get the specifications right. As installers, we knew what we wanted, and we listened to our customers very closely. The result: An access product that meets and exceeds current competitive offerings - is easy to use, versatile and affordable.
Next step - With most of the design complete, the AeroCall is ready for its first production run. There are a few hardware features that we'll be adding as well as some software enhancements gathered from our experience in pre-production that wraps up the pre-production phase.
Production Stage - Once the pre-production systems are validated and tested, any required changes are made and the product is verified to meet all specifications while staying within cost boundaries. It is time to prepare for a full production run. The overall design is "frozen" - no other changes to hardware or software occur.
Right now, we are between the pre-production validation and our first production run. In addition to needing a quantity of production units built and placed into inventory, there remains many other things to complete - and this is where we really need help:
*Acquire sufficient inventory to build first production run quantities (100+ pieces) based on our analysis of initial demand.
*Begin and continue marketing activities to generate interest and brand awareness locally and regionally.
*Complete and finalize all documentation and set up customer web portal access.
*Submit product for final agency approvals
*Finalize iOS and Android Apps
*Make sure all product features and Customer Care systems are in place to insure a great customer user experience
Marketing and promotion is continuous as is reaching out to our dealer base and building brand awareness of the AeroCall system. Our existing customers are already very excited by the AeroCall and can't wait to order one!!
We are also scheduled to show the AeroCall system at the Fencetech Show in early 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.
What the AeroCall System is and does:
The AeroCall AC8200 product is a fully wireless, GSM cellular based access control system that incorporates high quality voice communication, SMS texting control and programming as well as full control and programming from a downloadable App. The product is typically used by homeowners, businesses or other enterprises that require some type of gate or door control of vehicles or pedestrians.
Common User Scenarios
Homeowner #1
Terry is a homeowner. She has a gate out in front of her house that she would like to control more easily. Right now, when she leaves, she has a "clicker" she presses that opens or closes the gate. The problem is that when she is not home, she has no way of controlling access to the property. If she is home, she has to walk half-way down the driveway before the gate will open and sometimes she is not sure who is waiting to get in. If UPS or the U.S. Mail have a package to drop off, they might leave the package at the gate where it can be stolen.
Homeowner #2
Her neighbor Ann, has a small keypad mounted by her main gate and another small keypad at a pedestrian gate a few feet way that never seems to work right. So she only uses the main vehicle gate. To make life easier, Ann will sometimes reveal the 4 digit code that opens the gate to the UPS driver, the pizza delivery guy or her pool service company. But like Terry, she also has no way of controlling her gate access when not at home and cannot be sure when some of the other people might access her property without her knowledge.
A Small Business
Sam is a manager of a small company in town whose parking lot is fully fenced. He had a gate motor installed as well as a card reader device mounted at the entrance and exit. Keys are used to open the lobby door. Employees can present their card to activate the gate to enter or to leave. But Sam has noticed some problems with the card solution: employees lose their cards or keys or give them to co-workers. Also, when employees have quit, they have failed to return their cards and keys as instructed. Sam paid to have the front door lock rekeyed three times last year. When a visitor comes, he or she has no way to open the gate. They have to call the receptionist in the office from their cell phone to have someone come out and open the gate. Some of Sam's vendors have complained about being stuck in the street for 10 minutes or more while waiting for a person to let them in.
The AeroCall solves these problems and more!
The AeroCall can control an electrically operated gate, door lock or entrance with its built-in relays. As well, the system has three methods of relay control that are triggered by:
-Placing a call from the device by pressing the Call Button
-Sending a SMS text command to the system from an authorized cell phone (directly or from App)
-Calling the system from an authorized cell phone (directly or from App)
Going back to the earlier examples using the AeroCall system, Terry and Ann now have complete control over their gate and property.
When they come home from work, they simply use their cell phone app (or direct method) to send a command to open the gate. If UPS or the U.S. mail have a package to deliver, they can simply press the Call Button on the system that will then ring to their cell phones - No matter where they are!
Terry no longer has to walk half way down the driveway to open the gate. Ann does not have to risk giving out her code numbers to the pizza guy or pool person. One more thing - Ann used the extra relay in the AeroCall to control her pedestrian walk through gate and got rid of the broken keypad making walk-through access much safer. With the AeroCall system, their property is more secure, safer and THEY have CONTROL over who gets in - when and how - from anywhere. All made easier with the AeroCall system.
The AeroCall also helps Sam to solve his problem. He no longer has to keep buying reader cards for his employees or worry about having visitors trapped outside the gate - Employees and visitors can push the Call Button to get in or use their cell phones - which ever works best for them. With the extra relay available on the AeroCall, Sam installed an electric lock on the lobby door and eliminated employee keys. Employees simply use one command to open the gate and another command to unlock the lobby door - Simple! Sam can also download the AeroCall database to see who used the system by date and time - no funny business from employees that forget to clock in.

Product Variations
The AeroCall system is not just a product or gadget - it is a product line with multiple product variations. We designed the AeroCall as a platform meaning that it can be tailored to other tasks as needed in similar markets. The standard configuration (pictured) is in an aluminum enclosure with a marine grade stainless steel door and is built to last. But other variation include a "secured" system, Art-Deco, and Estate versions (vary by enclosure type) as well as an OEM open platform (electronics only) for use by other manufacturers, dealers and integrators wishing to present AeroCall as "their" product to customers. We also have adopted an Open Source API protocol used by other manufacturers that will allow the AeroCall to be fully integrated into a wireless environment for home and building control.
Cellular Service Account Management
The AeroCall uses a special proprietary embedded cellular device designed by us and is FCC and carrier approved. As a cellular device, it requires an account with one of the major cell carriers such as AT&T or T-Mobile and others. We can provide service or customers may obtain their own account through a carrier of their choosing.
Why We Need Funding
We need funding to help us (Listed in order of importance):
1. Acquire parts, inventory, tooling and materials for initial production release
2.Complete development of key accessories
3.Optimize App development for iPhone and Android
4.Expand sales, distribution and marketing efforts
6.Acquire additional enclosure inventory
How Soon Do We Need the Funding?
As soon as possible - we would like to begin preparing for a production run as well as building inventory to meet immediate demand. There are a number of other tasks to complete as well. Donating partners will receive a detailed task list and timeline of expenditures.
Why Does this Mean So Much to Us?
There are multiple answers to this question. The first is very basic and speaks to a window of opportunity in the industry. The longer it takes to get to market, the more time it allows competitors to gain or strengthen market share.
Be assured, we have a great deal at stake and a tremendous amount of "skin in the game" - over six-figures invested - every last penny. Everyone involved has pitched in their all and more. We are ready to take things to the next level and seek partners to join us.
The Team has worked tirelessly and endlessly to get to this point. Banks are simply unfriendly to new ventures, even ones that have been around awhile with a track record. The SBA and other conventional methods of funding require ridiculous amounts of net worth - difficult for us since we have invested every last dollar into this venture and lack their liquidity requirements. To the financial world, credentials or experience matter little - We have seasoned accountants, legal counsel and other professionals to help where needed. The remaining founder, Rob, has 30 years of industry experience, deep sales and management experience, three college degrees and an MBA - but banks don't care.
But there is an even bigger reason that goes back to the philosophy engendered by the founding brothers: That manufacturing and innovation creates opportunity - for many other people besides the principals. It creates jobs, American jobs for American workers. It creates opportunities for younger employees to learn and grow like they did and opportunities to reach out and enrich the community in innumerable ways. Nearly every American company was started by people with a vision - to do something different, to do something great and to help others. The notion that everybody in an organization is important, that everyone has value and can contribute, innovate, learn and grow is one we believe in and promote. That idea is profoundly important to us and remains as one of our cornerstone principles.
Businesses need to be profitable and to be run efficiently - we get that - and we have run an effective and disciplined venture thus far. But businesses also have a responsibility to treat employees, vendors, customers and stakeholders with respect as well as to give back to the community that enables their success. Being able to do this in a meaningful way is a measure of true success.
How Thankful will we be for getting help?
We will be eternally grateful to those that can help us launch our product line and allow us to begin reaching for the goals outlined. We ask you to join us - Whether it is a dollar, 20 dollars, one hundred or more, we deeply recognize how much it means for a person to have enough faith and belief in what we are doing to help us financially. We understand the sacrifice people make to help especially with their hard earned cash. Nearly everyone involved in the AeroCall project and at CTC knows firsthand how important every dollar can be. We are humbled to know that there are people who will share in our vision and be willing to support our efforts. To us, every partner is a hero and will always be part of the tapestry that frames and drives our endeavor.
Those that help us are partners - sharing in our vision and what we are trying to do. Join us - be part of an organization that is poised to shake up the established leaders - be part of our technology revolution!

Join The Effort To Create New Opportunities!
What CTC and AeroCall will do reaches beyond our modest location in Florida. We envision eventually establishing an assembly operation in Upstate New York or other rural location creating jobs. Soon, we'll be hiring talented labor for in-house design and fabrication, hiring folks across the country to work remotely in a variety of positions and help train the next generation of engineers, designers and workers. If we can get up to speed quickly, we'll also be looking for experienced Regional Managers, Outside Sales Reps, Sales and Support personnel. Check back often.
