Aeron Spine and Neck surgery and physical therapy

My nesting partner, the love of my

life has lost so much of their mobility due to worsening spine and neck issues. They need physical therapy and surgery to regain their strength and mobility. We are uninsured like so many people and without help they have little to no chance to get better and will likely lose even more mobility and experience even more pain. Please help get them back on their feet again so they can get back to their passion of helping to feed our unhoused community and get back to living without the debilitating spine and neck pain they are suffering from.

They are a wonderful human, and a parent of 5 children. They just want to be able to regain their ability to be active with our kids, garden, go camping, and other things that able bodied people can easily take for granted.

After being admitted to Baylor on may 2nd it was discovered that there is a bulging disk in their neck encroaching on their nerves which has effected their ability to walk to such a degree that they need assistance because their legs have trouble holding them up. They have numbness in their feet and hands and other areas of their body. They need help even to get dressed at this point. These issues began some years ago and have progressively gotten worse. The doctors and surgeons are running a battery of tests to determine the cause or causes for the multiple symptoms in addition to the bulging disc that has shifted within their spine. The have told Aeron and I that they will need inpatient care for several weeks at a hospital that specializes in physical therapy, this alone we were told will cost 10s of thousands. We are looking into programs that will help cover the cost but we will still end up having to cover well over 10k ourselves. Without this intensive physical therapy they are at risk for being permanently unable to walk and would need continuous care to assist them with everyday normal functioning such as getting dress, using the bathroom, and so on.
