AFBE Gala & Awards fund raising - Three Charities
Donation protected
The Association for Black Engineers (UK) Limited AFBE-UK, aims to challenge and inspire people of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) origin to make enhanced contributions in their respective fields, and to add value to their communities using engineering as a platform.
We are a registered not-for profit organisation that encourages people of black and minority ethnicity to study engineering, support those who aspire to be successful engineers, promote engineering in the schools and promote diversity in the work force.
The AFBE-UK Gala & Awards night celebrates the growing diversity of engineering landscape and the contribution of companies and individuals to the industry.
See AFBE Gala Events Link for further information about who we are.
Fundraising has always been a key feature in all our events and this year we are proud to showcase and raise visibility of three carefully chosen charities to our audience and present their recent developments, challenges, and successes at our AFBE-UK Gala and awards night holding at the P&JLive Aberdeen on the 23rd of November 2023.
The Association for Black Engineers (UK) Limited AFBE-UK, seeks to draw attention to the work of three notable charities to highlight the vital work they do both locally and internationally.
i. The Lydia Wilson Foundation [RCN: SC611072] LWF
ii. The Washing Machine Project [RCN: 12113634] TWMP
iii. Asthma and Allergy Foundation [RCN: SC042738] AAF
We would therefore like to solicit for donations to be raised in the name of The Lydia Wilson Foundation, The Washing Machine Project, and The Asthma and Allergy Foundation.
Funds raised will be shared equally to the charities.
