Metcalf family fund

The old owner of the Ark pet shop, had a serious accident on February 17th. The pet shop was a family business in Ames for 30+ years, then moved to Boone. Last year Jon made the hard decision to close the shop for good. Now he is the best lunch lady that the Boone Middle school has ever had.
The Metcalf family has been taking care of Ames and Boone customers for a very long time. They would always go out of there way to help people. Now it is our turn to help a friend in need.
Jon broke is right hip. Not just a normal break, but broke the ball off his leg that fits into the socket of his hip. The doctors chose to screw his bone back together. Which means that he is unable to put weight on it or go back to work for 3 months. Which means no paycheck. He has 2 small children, a few dogs and a house bills to take care of. His parents are taking care of the kids in rural Boone and driving them back and forth to school in town.
I am trying to raise money to help him through the next few months. His family are helping him the best they can, but they all have their own families to take care of. I am asking everyone to chip in to help him in the next few months as much as his family has helped the community.
Anything that you can spare is very appreciated. If you don't want to use this site, please send me a message or email me at [email redacted] and i can take care of your donation.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers in this hard time for Jon and his family.
