Affirming Care for Nick Santos

Hello!

Our names are James Han (they/them) and Stevie Ray (she/her). We're coordinating this GoFundMe for our loved one, Nick Santos (they/them).

Nick is an incredible person who is deeply involved in the local cycling community. They lead group rides and plan activities that bring together a beautiful community. They are talented, hardworking, kind, and a friend to all. Nick shows resilience and strength day to day and, like most people, often hides the things they are dealing with in order to not burden the people they love.

Over the last few years, Nick has experienced pretty rapid hair loss. This has caused them to battle with feelings of gender dysphoria, which has brought major discomfort and mental turmoil to their daily life. To keep things simple, helping Nick fix this issue is dire to their well-being.

Nick has been researching the care that they need. They have consulted with professionals, and hair follicle transplant surgery is the only way to get the results they are hoping to achieve. This type of treatment is expensive and is not covered by most insurance companies, which is why we are reaching out to our community for help!
