Afghan interpreter and family need a real chance…
Donation protected
My name is Sam Rogers, and I’m a retired member of the U.S. Army. The man in the other half of this photo worked as an interpreter for the U.S. Military and state department for over 10 years. We worked together in 2009-2010. He was luckily able to escape the Taliban just in time, but has been stuck with his wife and two daughters in a United Arab Emirates refuge camp for the past 8.5 months. He expects to repatriate shortly but his family left Afghanistan with the clothes on their backs…. He is a bachelors degree holding journalist. They plan to relocate to the Reno, NV area, but have nothing to their name. I propose we come together as a community and give them a fighting chance! Please donate what you can and/or share this message to spread the word!!!
Humbly,
SSG Rogers, Sam Retired
*These funds will be used to provide culturally appropriate clothes and hygene items for his family, and interview/work clothes to set him up for success*
