Support an orphanage in Afghanistan

The Ehsas Orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan, needs your help to continue supporting young Afghan boys. The orphanage was established by the Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization (EWSSO) and is dependent on the donations of generous people like you. For $10,000, the orphanage will be able to continue to take care of 25 boys for roughly 7 months.
Background
The war in Afghanistan has destroyed countless families over the past 40 years, leaving countless children on the streets. With the recent developments in Afghanistan, the economy has been suffering and poverty and famine rates are at an all-time high leaving many families with no way to support their children. While normally these children would be drawn into manual labor and left outside of school, the orphanage managed by Ehsas helps some of these young boys, several of whom are as young as 7 years old. The efforts of Ehshas and their generous donors allow these children to receive an education and enjoy a normal childhood like every child should. By contributing to the education of the poorest sector of Afghan society, you are setting up generational changes to ensure these children can change the course of their life and uplift hundreds with them.
Where does the money go?
The money raised goes entirely towards the operation of the orphanage. After meeting the basic necessities such as food and clothing, as of March 2022, the children are all attending private schools in Kabul. The funds go towards their school costs, including books, uniforms, and tuition. A portion of your donations will also go towards providing each child with a gift for Eid to bring their Ramadan to a cheerful end, which includes a new pair of clothes, shoes, and ~$10 to purchase a gift. The total costs amount to roughly $60 per child, per month. For $10 000, we will be able to support the orphanage's expenses in their entirety for almost 7 months. Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organization is a reputable charity operating and registered in Afghanistan and alongside the orphanage have pursued anti-famine efforts, emergency relief responses, and Ramadan support.
What can you do?
We can't help every child that is affected by the war, however, we can do our best to make sure that some of the most vulnerable children continue to have a safe space which is their orphanage, their home. We are young Afghans fortunate enough to be in a position to help these young boys. We ran a similar fundraiser in 2019, raising $6900 for an orphanage by the name of Esra which supported them for 3-months. We have raised the goal this time and reach out to you, kind stranger, to help us make a difference. The most generous of men is the Noble Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him and it is his example we are striving to emulate. May God purify our intentions and place blessings in this shared endeavour we are undertaking with you.
