Afghanistan’s ongoing food crisis has created widespread suffering and requires immediate action.

The United Nations’ World Food Programme estimates that more than one million Afghan children are at risk of dying from severe malnutrition in the coming months.

Afghan girls are facing a significantly increased risk of being pulled from school to perform labor or be married in exchange for a dowry due to near-famine conditions.

All funds raised through this page will directly support the Emergency Hunger Relief Program.

Hunger Relief Program Details

Razia’s Ray of Hope has been successfully educating girls in rural Afghanistan since 2008; today we face a new challenge, as 98 percent of the population in Afghanistan lacks enough food to eat (UN WFP). Our girls and community face substantial risk for severe malnutrition and require significant nutritional support.

RRH’s Emergency Hunger Relief Program will provide monthly food packages to our community. Food packages are designed to support a family of five. RRH schools will also provide students with a full meal, six days per week.
