Afghanistan Relief Fund
Escalating violence in Afghanistan is contributing to an increasingly alarming humanitarian crisis. Hundreds of thousands of Afghan men, women, and children are fleeing their homes in fear as the Taliban take over control of Afghanistan. According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees , the country is “on course to witness the highest ever number of documented civilian casualties in a single year since the U.N.’s records began.”
In response, we are launching the Afghanistan Relief Fund to support a range of vital relief efforts. Your single donation can provide short-term food relief, help displaced people and schools, support on-the-ground journalists, and more.
Afghan civilians need our help more than ever. Will you join us in providing them with critical humanitarian aid?
How does the Afghanistan Relief Fund work?
With the donations made to this cause, we will be providing grants to vetted nonprofit organizations providing crucial humanitarian aid in Afghanistan. We aim to support affected civilians through these grants and preserve access to accurate information about this crisis.
Who benefits from your donation?
Donations will ultimately benefit people affected by this humanitarian crisis. Through grants to vetted nonprofits, we can leverage their existing relief programs to provide quick relief to those who need it most. Due to the heighten sensitivities and risks of this specific crisis, we have withheld specific beneficiary organization's names for their safety and security.
Funds raised on this fundraiser will be managed by GoFundMe.Org, an independent nonprofit organization registered in the United States (EIN 81-2279757).
