Why Pan African Think Tank?
The 501(c)(3) non-profit was formed by C.Nichole, a businesswoman and Urban Pop singer based Texas, USA, in August 2019. She recalled many conversations she’d had with Pan-Africans from different countries and all walks of life during her sabbaticals. The word and the principles behind “Pan-African” started to cross her mind in November 2018 during her visit to Rocinha, the largest favela in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She learned not all schools taught History and World Geography. “You can’t plan for your future and thoroughly understand your present, without knowing and acknowledging your past.” That event gave birth to Pan African Think Tank; a charitable entity with the purpose to educate, while helping eliminate prejudice throughout Africa and the African Diaspora; coming together as one.
Why Fundraise? Why Should You Donate?
Problems and Misconceptions: A majority of people of African descent (African Diaspora) aren't fully connected with Africa; some don't even acknowledge their roots. Native Africans (Continental Africans) seem to think that the African Diaspora isn't dealing with similar issues.
Forums: Places, meetings, or mediums where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. In 2016, the United Nations Economic Commission of Africa found that three-fifths of Africa's population was under 25 years old. Pan African Think Tank usually partners with organizations where at least 50% of their members are Millennials and/or Generation Z, connecting with the now and next generation of leaders. During these forums, we're able to gather data that helps us to assess, evaluate, and solidify the top 10 issues afflicting the Pan African community. Upon completion, the Pan African Think Tank Convention will take place that will consist of leaders of all the organizations we partner with. There we will discuss those issues afflicting the Pan African community and how we can realistically go about fixing them.
If you can't donate, help us out by sharing this fundraiser. We'd greatly appreciate it! Who knows, you may know someone who can, plus you'll be helping us get the word out about Pan African Think Tank's cause.
