1700 mile walk from Africa to Yorkshire

Good day my name is Liam,

I’m about to set off on a epic walk from Morocco to Bradford in the uk, this will be a solo adventure 1 man and a backpack, my journey will start in Casablanca, I will travel north through Morocco into Spain, then France and then finally the uk, this will be a 1700 mile journey a challenging yet hopefully a walk to change many life’s!.

So now you’re asking why? Well I have a dream to help provide clean water to communities in the Gambia, I’m over here now visiting communities who either have no access to fresh water, or are living without electricity or unsafe conditions, my journey is been documented on my socials, please Search liamwalks3 on tik tok and instagram, Liam McCarthy on Facebook, here you can see and follow my journey, as well as helping in Africa I want to help provide much needed equipment to a boxing gym where I help sponsor children to box on a weekly basis, as well as this I will donate funds to other local sports facilities, would love to open a local youth centre.

my dream is to build a foundation to support young children both in the uk and abroad, each place I visit needs urgent help and together we can all help make a change, each donation will collectively change young children’s life’s for a brighter future, The things we take for granted are the things these children dream about, a shower proper working toilets, electricity

a bed, the children I’ve seen have none of these things, they don’t want luxury they simply need hope and basic amenities you and i take for granted, I’ve visited homes with holes in a tin roof, when it’s rainy season here it’s hard to imagine how they live, a village who have a well but it’s right next to a septic tank and the water is now polluted. The money raised will help us move this and also build self contained units for these families to have a new hope, a new life, a better tomorrow. I hope my walk will inspire you all to help my journey, and watching the work I do when complete will bring you all hope for a brighter future for the children we help.

Once the fundraiser has been completed the funds will be used on the children’s orphanage to help build new shower blocks and toilets, we want to also provide a water well for the woman’s well been centre and donate to children’s causes in the uk
