The intention

To provide a sensory activation of the mind, body & soul that regenerates genetic memory and replenishes anyone that interacts with it. The mural is a portal that becomes an energetic landmark for any community it lives in.

The story

At the end of 2016 I moved to LA from Toronto with the intention to connect with Ras G and expand my artistry; I lived on Brynehurst and 48th, just around the corner from the mural. The pulse of the drum circle every Sunday and the support from the elders and youth would activate and inspire my creative expressions. Feeling affirmed (solidified) in the community, I would set up in the park before the fences went up - Crafting my artifacts, and building copper pyramids for the community.

Naturally I started to bring my paints out so I could work in the park, then I got to the point where I wanted to paint something that represented the collective ascension from the heart of Leimert park. I intentionally only painted a small portion of the wall to see how the community would respond. Come 2019, I’m in Leimert park not long after Nipsey Hussle’s transition. It prompted me to add to the mural, so with the help of a few brothers from the Neighbours skateshop, we painted the rest of the wall on the first floor, and that’s when the main portal was activated!

The painting was done with brushes as if I was carving hieroglyphics. I used the spare paint that I had at the time and the rest of the materials manifested. I didn’t ask for funding because I wanted to be free to flow with messages I was receiving from source, with no external influence or expectations. I knew that I would be able to use this piece to show the world what I could do on my own, so that if and when I asked for help in the future the works would speak for themselves.

My vision is to create these portals and sacred works around the earth, with the intention to create an energetic grid that will recalibrate the planetary auric fields. The messages and affirmations were uploads received from energetic exchanges and interactions I encountered while living on Crenshaw.

The mural provided the youth and elders with a positive projection and wordsounds to create healthier realities. In a very strong reasoning with RAS G, not long before he transitioned, he told me to start building the AFRIKAN SPACEBASE - So that’s exactly what we did! in 2019, we took the scissor lift to the top and activated the AFRIKAN SPACEBASE along with 2 more portals representing the ancestral memory banks that Leimert park gives you access to.

In 2020, I went and carved the last remaining blank space into a medicine wall, listing medicinal plants that assist in harmonizing our bodies to the highest vitality. The borders closed the following day and the world went into a “plandemic”, a.k.a the Great Consciousness Awakening.

The situation

Now, in 2021, when the we thought not much more could happen, the mural got burned down. The exact reason is not known but a few ideas have surfaced.

The response

One of the cultural identity affirmations of the community was destroyed and it needs to be rebuilt. I want to recreate the mural on Crenshaw and use it as the
AFRIKAN SPACEBASE!  It will be one of the main apex points to a global alignment of my works.

How you can help?

Any funds raised will mainly go to supplies & resources to access spaces that resonate with the works, as well as compensation for youth artists that I bring into the projects. These works will not only be murals but also, copper based raw crystal mineral structures & life force energy generators!

There are so many Cultural identity affirmations for African people that have been tampered with or literally destroyed - The colonizers broke the nose off of the Sphinx in Africa, lightened the hieroglyphics, broke tops of pyramids, stole the obelisk of Axum, denied the features of the Olmec Head , and the list goes on...

Supporting the activation of these works is a contribution to the global healing and restoration of the sacred lands that have been colonized. As well as ensuring that the youth and elders in our community have spaces that allow them to come together and preserve the culture.

My position is to rebuild the affirmations of our Indigenous cultural identities and provide solid foundations of knowledge.

Truly grateful for the love and support worldwide. I give thanks for life and all the strength to do these works. “We Got This!”
