Mauro’s fight against cancer

My name is Natalia, I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister Paola’s family. During this difficult time we are seeking your compassion, support and generosity. On September 7 my oldest nephew, Mauro was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma cancer stage 4.

Mauro is a 13 year old and he is in 8 grade. He lives with mom (Paola), dad (Serafin), seven year old brother (Gael) and one year old sister (Antonella). Mauro loves to play video games ,smart, happy, and adventures. He enjoys runs to Walmart and target. Mauro loves spending time with his siblings who he loves dearly and always looking after them like a great older brother that he is.

On August 28, Paola took Mauro seeking medical help since she has noticed Mauro losing appetite, weak, pale and lost interest on doing things he enjoyed doing. After many labs, scans and testes, they were dealt devasting cancer diagnosis. Following this it was necessary to start chemotherapy immediately.His treatment consists of 5 days in the hospital and 2weeks at home. Despiste this, Mauro has showed strength , faith and determination. His courage and resilience is tested everyday but his strength and faith keeps him and his family shining through.

It was necessary for paola to leave her job to dedicate her time and care for mauro. His father, Serafin is now financially responsible to provide for his family. Even though he

works, he has cut down his hours to provide the care and support Mauro requires.

Many have asked how they can help, I have put together this page to help raise money to help pay bills and cover expenses to relieve some of the huge pressure associated with a significant loss of earnings and allow them to focus on the most important-Mauro. All donations will be used to help them with bills. Mauro you have all our love and support in your journey to kick cancer’s butt !
