My name is Ayman Elswerky and I am doing this for my cousin in Gaza and that what he wrote.

My name is Mohammad Akram Abu Dan 25 years old from Gaza. This is my story, which is one of 2 million real stories that happened in our beloved Gaza. I am a young man with dreams and goals. I have achieved some of them.

In 2019 I started my own business and got married to my beautiful wife Sarah in 2022 and we were blessed in 2023 with a beautiful boy we named Akram.

We had a small house but full of love and ambition for our future and our small family. We had dreams to grow our business and give our son the best life we possibly can. After the birth of my son my wife started an online business. We were a happy hard working family. We had a vision and we could see the light from the bright future that we had planned me and my wife till all of the sudden all of our dreams and hopes were destroyed in front of our eyes. October 7th and the Israeli aggression on our beloved Gaza has left us hopeless and dreamless. My house and business is destroyed, everything I worked so hard to accomplish is gone.

My family and I fled from our area in the Nasr neighborhood north of Gaza under bombardment and destruction, where it became a dangerous combat zone for the occupation. We went to Deir al-Balah area, which is not as safe as the occupation claims. The occupation destroyed everything—my dreams, my house, and my project. It was completely destroyed and burned. Years of hard work went in vain, and the occupation destroyed the family home I had always dreamed of. We have lost hope in our lives in Gaza. The occupation has turned it from paradise to hell. As a father, I want a safe, stable, and peaceful life for my family and my 10-month-old child, who has only seen the injustice of the occupation so far. I ask for your help to save me and my family from this war that has deprived us of our basic rights, and these massacres and destruction have not stopped until this moment. I am writing to you my story and my suffering on day 176 of the war, at 11:20 PM under the sound of continuous bombing and the darkness of aggression.
