After School teachers CAR STOLEN & TOTALED

For those of you who don’t know, my car was stolen around 2:15am Thursday May 31, 2024 on Tideway Ave. It’s a 2015 Infiniti Q40, a highly sought out vehicle for car thieves. It was previously broken into on January 31, 2024. Both windows were broken and the cars anti theft mechanism engaged rendering the car immobile. I spent $1500 to repair the problems. Then, after repairing it was stolen 5 months later right out of my driveway. Oakland PD found my car a few days later but it was in a collision so it became completely inoperable. I only have liability insurance due to the high cost of full coverage. This means my insurance company cannot do anything. So I ended up having to paying $300 to turn the car over to the tow company and have them deal with the vehicle.

I have been living in Alameda for the past year and have been working at Rosa Parks Elementary School working part time as an after school teacher. I teach Tk-5th, doing enrichment activities such as drama club and crocheting. I am also a freelance photographer and need to travel to my clients.

This summer I have new job with Culinary Artistas’ (in Albany and Piedmont) This is part-time for eight weeks and then school picks up again in August (in Berkeley), I am working on finding additional work for the mornings.

I looked at some cars this weekend and I got a ballpark range of what is required for me to acquire a loan. The price of the downpayment varies according to the price of the vehicle.

I am looking at EV’s because the Infiniti being a 6 cylinder was a gas guzzler of a car and cost me tons of money in gas.
