Help beloved LA artist recover from a fire

On January 31 the home and studio of our wonderful friend and Los Angeles based artist Malado Francine were destroyed by a fire. She has lost almost her entire life's worth of artworks, most of her art supplies and materials, clothing, furniture - so much of what made her life and home her own.

We are fundraising to help her rebuild her life. She needs to replace everything in her home and to find a workspace, pay for vet bills - and find security after this devastating loss. Anyone who knows Malado will not be surprised that she is handling the situation with grace, fortitude and wisdom. She is grateful that she was unharmed, along with her her two beloved cats who were rescued by neighbors. A true believer in the strength of community, Malado is a "giver": a bright and generous presence to her friends, family and peers. Now she needs our help.
