After the fire: support for Denise's Parrot Place

Hi, I am Rick Woehler and I own Denise's Parrot Place along with my Mother, Lori Woehler. A few days ago, our building on Mercer Island caught fire and we had to urgently evacuate all the birds while opaque billowing smoke filled the air. It was a harrowing experience but thanks to so many people, including staff and nearby patrons of other businesses, we were able to get safe refuge away from the fire and eventually to a vacated vet care business.

As of this writing, it isn't clear when we can return to our store. Our business isn't a high profit model and the bills are adding up. We haven't yet received financial support from insurance as yet. We immediately relocate the birds, replace supplies, food, stock. We have received donations of food and supplies but are not yet clear on rent and other expenses. We are seeking donations to help us through this transition. Thank you for helping us.
