Afterschool Film Crowdfunding

Hey! We are students at the University of Central Arkansas and we are raising funds for our short film called Afterschool. It is the story of Emma Grace and Blanche taking revenge on Jett, the boy that cheated on Emma Grace at recess. Emma Grace is a ten year old catholic school girl that has self confidence issues and tends to be a very anxious yet put together person. Blanche is Emma’s spunky grandma, “Gigi”, that thrived in the 1980s and still lives there mentally. Emma Grace’s confidence takes a hit when Jett cheats on her, so Blanche takes it upon herself to cheer her up and in doing so she takes her to egg and toilet paper Jett’s house.

- Who We Are

We are the female power-house of After School! We’re a group of gifted gals pursuing our creative dreams here at UCA, and we’re more than excited to bring this film to life and to bring Gigi and Emma Grace into yours. We have our headstrong producer, Olivia Teske; our one-of-a-kind director, Lexie Mosby; our top-notch line producer and editor, Autumn Martin; and last but not least, our determined casting and assistant director, Emily England. We’ve worked on nearly 100 film sets as students combined, and we’re taking our experiences to drive this film to success. We all share the same goal of getting what's in our heads, onto a screen, and into yours! Our passion and love for this project is unmatched; you will experience “girl-power” like never before!

- Why We Are Making This Movie:

We are making this film because we want to empower people to keep their confidence even when others try to take it away! We had this film live in the land of nostalgia because we wanted to let you run free in the memories and fun of it all along with us. A huge part of this film is inspired by our director’s grandma herself!

realize that I was an absolute prize and that anybody who got to date me was incredibly lucky."

We want you to have a fun experience with this film from start to finish, and to be guided along by spunky Blanche and Emma Grace.

- What we need / budget or in-kind resources / How you can help

We need help raising $3,000 for talent, locations, catering, art, post production costs, and of course props including eggs and TP. If you're unable to give a cash donation, we would be grateful for any support such as offering to cater a meal for the crew, giving of your time and talent, or allowing us to egg your house as one of the locations in our film. In return we have incentives to give back with stickers, representation in the credits, shout out on social media, or a day on set.
