Air Force Veteran Tornado Recovery

Donation protected
Yesterday, February 6th, 2020, a tornado ripped through Millingport, NC. A small town in Stanly County. While much of the area experienced high winds and flooding, a well respected and well known Air Force Veteran suffered a catastrophic loss - nearly everything he owned. As you can see, his home was moved off its foundation. The contents were pulled through the roof and scattered across the property. We are raising these funds to help this man simply because he has no home or place to collect items. Very little was able to be salvaged in terms personal items. Thankfully he has clothes. Local friends and family were able to help go through and collect some of the larger possessions but even those are severely water damaged and ruined. This amazing man is a single father of four, has the proud title of 'Papaw' to 13 grandchildren, is the Commander of an American Legion there in North Carolina, is a true pillar of his community, and truly would not admit to the need. We appreciate all the help both yesterday and today for this great man. Family was surprised by the amount of friends and strangers who stopped to assist in the driving rain. We have set this fund up so that the impacted party can withdraw funds directly as needed. No middle man, no third party. All of your contributions with exception of GoFundMe's transaction fees, go straight to this amazing Veteran. We thank you for your contributions.
