Age Care Association offers help, support, information and advice. Our ultimate objective is to give support in a wide variety of ways to the older English speaking community, including those in our Alzheimer’s & Dementia Group.
We run two charity shops that provide all the funds to carry out the services we provide.
With the lockdown due to Coronavirus our charity shops are closed, for an indefinite period.
The demand by the elderly and vulnerable for our help has increased exponentially, from:
· Taking them to their GP
· Taking them to the CDELS, La Cala Health Centre, Care
· Doing their shopping on a weekly basis
· Collecting their medicines from their pharmacies
· Maintaining carers in their homes
With the closure of our charity shops we are losing €15,000 per month, we will continue to provide the help that is required, using our reserve funds, but any help you may be able to give would be great fully appreciated.
