WHOOP! Your Fightin' Texas Aggie Rodeo Team is headed back to the College National Finals Rodeo to be held June 12-18 in Casper, Wyoming!
As you may know Texas A&M Rodeo is considered a club sport and receives NO money from TAMU. All money used by the Rodeo Team is raised via donations, rodeo sponsorships of the NIRA spring rodeo and the All-Aggie Rodeo in the fall, and of course our student athelete Cowboy/Cowgirl's own pockets.
Texas Aggie Rodeo, Inc, the 501c3 Non-Profit support group of #texasaggierodeo, would like your help in raising 2K in travel expense help for each of our 5 competitors that will travel to Casper and fly the banner of Texas A&M University!
Competing for Texas Aggie Rodeo will be the NIRA Southern Region Women's Rodeo Team Reserve Champions including :
Jimmie Smith, McDade, TX - So. Ag Comm/Journ
Hailey Kinsel, Cotulla, TX - Jr. Ag Economics
McKenna Brown, College Station,TX - Jr. Nursing
Whitney Thurmond, Bastrop, So. Ag Leadership/Dev
(alt)Miranda Mitchell, Needville, TX So. Biomed Sci
Jimmie was Reserve Champion in Breakaway and Hailey was Reserve Champion in Barrels, and will be making her 2nd consecutive CNFR appearence.
On the Men’s side, Cade Goodman, a Junior Ag. Economics major from Waelder, TX and major will making his 3rd CNFR appearance in the steer wrestling competition, where he was crowned National Champion in 2014 while competing for Wharton Junior College.
