Agroforest in a Brazilian Favela

Hi, my name is Isabel and I'm fundraising for my friend Alessandra Roque - Ale, who was recently featured in Simon Reeve's South America series.

Ale works with children from a very deprived area (Morro da Providencia ) in the centre of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Together they turned a fly tipping site into an urban agroforest where Ale teaches children about plants and real food. Over 140 children attend the site every week, to learn, play, and eat. Ale and other members of the community are doing all of this without any regular sponsors, relying upon their own resources and isolated donations. With this fundraising I'd like to help her improve her facilities and offer more activities to the children.
