AGS - Adaptive Grandslam Cumbria Challenge 2023
Donation protected
Hi! And Welcome to our fundraising page. We are raising funds on behalf of AGS by taking part in their Cumbria Challenge 2023
The AGS or Adaptive Grand Slam https://www.adaptivegrandslam.com/ project organises challenge events including taking on the explorers grand slam, which is an extreme endeavour to climb the highest peak in each continent in addition to walking to the North and South Poles unsupported. The organisers and adventurers of these expeditions and challenges are wounded ex-servicemen, civilian members of the disabled community, professional mountaineers, expedition leaders and our supporters. The Grand Slam is considered, amongst seasoned mountain climbers and expedition leaders, as the height of expedition achievement and the AGS team are unique in that they have to rely on alternative ways and means of completing the challenges with their various disabilities.
The AGS was established by ex-serviceman Martin Hewitt to select, train and develop disabled teams to tackle extreme expeditions and challenges supported by professional expedition and challenge leaders in order to help members of the disabled community regain confidence, independence and meaningful occupation
There's 11 of us taking part in the Cumbria Challenge to raise money for the global AGS Grand Slam so please visit our individual pages, read the bios on the AGS website and dig deep for this very worthy cause!
