Rachelle's Fight Against Cancer

On April 4, 2022, my sister Rachelle’s life was turned upside down. Just two months before her wedding, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 ovarian cancer. That diagnosis would be difficult for anyone, but to a 27-year-old bride-to-be, it was earth-shattering.

Everything happened so quickly- it felt like a bad dream. At the end of February, doctors found a 7-centimeter mass on her right ovary. After numerous scans and tests, she immediately had surgery to remove it. Two weeks later, the pathology reports confirmed that it was ovarian cancer and that she would need to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. Since the treatment began so suddenly, Rachelle and her fiancé, Doug, made the difficult decision to postpone the big, beautiful wedding they had been planning for over a year.

With Rachelle out of work and very large medical bills accumulating, I would love to take some of the financial burden off her so she can focus on healing and recovering. I know my sister would never ask anyone for help, but I also understand the hard road ahead of her- and anything we can do to take some of the stress off her and Doug would be a blessing.
