Bring Leo Home
Donation protected
Elias Malkum. Last Saturday, November 12, at dawn on Sunday, I suffered an attack when I was walking back home, in Edmonton (Canada) with my brother-in-law LEONARDO DURAN. Product of this wild and unprovoked aggression, Leo passed away in the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
We were attacked by a group of natives, who attacked us and so far none of the Canadian and Colombian authorities have given us any assistance in sending their remains to Colombia.
As Leo had dual Colombian-Spanish nationality, the Consulate of our country, Colombia, in Calgary, told me that they couldn’t help us since Leo entered Canada as a Spanish citizen.
His travel insurance has already expired and I am on laid off.
This is a situation where we need to resort to the goodwill of citizens who can donate any amount, who can share this GoFundMe initiative among their contacts in social networks.
For those who wish to know more details of what we will do with the funds raised and give us a voice of encouragement in these moments so painful, we thank you, in the company of my wife, Milena Duran Ibanez and our whole family here and in Colombia.
I am also sharing our email for those who may or prefer to make an Interact E-mail transfer to: mailto:[email redacted] or a deposit to account number 83369 [phone redacted]073 TD Canada Trust.
I also share the press release of these events http://globalnews.ca/news/3068484/mob-assault-leads-to-edmontons-40th-homicide-of-2016-police/
Thank you all for your kind heart, kindness and understanding.
