Luna's emergency vet bills
Donation protected
UPDATE || MARCH 27TH 2025
It breaks our hearts to say that we had to say goodbye to Luna on the morning of March 26th. Her condition failed to stabilize through the night and she was unlikely to survive the surgery to remove a large stone found inside her bladder. With how much suffering she was in, we had to make the extremely hard decision to let her go.
This gofundme has been updated to reflect the final cost of our vet bills, including the cost of euthanasia and cremation. Thank you so much for everyone who's shared and donated—we're so incredibly grateful for all the well wishes and support we've received.
Luna, we wish we had more time with you. We miss you so much it hurts, but we know you're in a better place now. We love you.
Thank you,
the Diaz family

Hello, we're the Diaz family and we're raising money to help pay the hospital bills for our 3-year-old Shih Tzu, Luna.
Luna's been with us for just over a year now. She came to us after her previous owners could no longer keep her and she's brightened our lives so much since then. She's a sweet girl with a big personality—she has soulful eyes, loves to cuddle, and adores playing with her puppy cousin Hannah. She spins in circles at the door when she wants to go out and will jump on your lap as soon as you sit down. She's unbelievably precious to us.
Today, March 25th, 2025, we had to rush her to the emergency vet and have her hospitalized after what we believed was a normal heat deteriorated her physical state over the last two days. Her symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, blood in her urine, as well as uncontrollable urinating. After the initial triage, the vet suspects that her bladder may be swollen or blocked and she could have a nasty UTI.
Unfortunately, our family is struggling to cover the bills as we currently live paycheck to paycheck, and we humbly ask and offer sincere thanks for any support we can be given through this fundraiser. All money raised will go towards repaying a family friend who compassionately offered to pay the initial deposit upon hospitalizing our little girl, as well as paying any additional expenses incurred by a possible prolonged stay at the hospital and further care for her such as x-rays and medicine.
