ACTION ON ASB! Brixton

ACTION ON ASB! is a campaign run by the Brixton community for the Brixton community. We are entirely independent and self-funded. We are looking to raise funds to help with the administration costs to keep the campaign running, including things like website hosting and printing fliers and posters to promote events and activities.

Vision:

Make Brixton safer by reclaiming the streets from antisocial behaviour (ASB) so they are free for everyone to enjoy.

Mission:

Uniting residents, businesses and community organisations to call for action from the police, council and relevant agencies, to reduce antisocial behaviour in Brixton, while ensuring the community is actively involved along the way.

Area we cover:

The four wards of Brixton - Brixton North, Brixton Acre Lane, Brixton Windrush & Brixton Rush Common.

How we will work:

• Community-led: A campaign for the community by the community

• Independent: We are independent and not affiliated with any political party

• Inclusive: Everyone is welcome. We want everyone’s voice to be heard – the more people and organisations we can unite, the more powerful we will be in influencing change

• Action-focussed: We are focussed on action and seeing immediate and sustained results

Our goals:

• To make antisocial behaviour in the Brixton wards a priority for the police and council

• To hold the police, council and relevant agencies accountable for delivering services to deal with antisocial behaviour

• To lobby for more resources to deal with antisocial behaviour
