AHA Bantam Boston ICE Storm Sled Hockey 2.20.24

The AHA Bantam coaches (B1/B2/B3), as part of the Andover Hockey Association's Community Service Initiative, have invited and plan to host the Boston ICE Storm Sled Hockey Team at PA Harrison on Tuesday, February 20th at 6:30pm (School Break Week). Boston Ice Storm team director Jennifer Ford will be in attendance at the rink with several of Sled Hockey athletes and they will provide sleds and other equipment to teach the boys how THEY play the sport we all love in sleds. This will be an interactive event with the Bantam boys getting into sleds and giving Sled Hockey a go!

By hosting this Sled Hockey program and participating in this event, we are encouraging the Bantam players to learn more about inclusion through adaptive sports like Sled Hockey and also demonstrating how these sports can include able-bodied participants while also taking in lessons from the Boston Ice Storm athletes as to how to persevere and never give up despite adversity and disability.

AHA has generously donated the 2 hours of ice time (6:30pm-8:30pm) at PA for this event on Tuesday 2/20/24.

The Boston I.C.E. Storm team is fully funded by donations with 100% of proceeds going directly to the teams.

As such, we would encourage all Bantam players and families to consider making a donation to their program. Your generous donation will help the team with necessary expenses, including but not limited to, equipment, sleds, uniforms, travel expenses and ice rental fees.
