The Story of Israa and Amjad Between Gaza and Padova

أكتب قصة صديقتي إسراء النجار من فلسطين من قطاع غزة حيث كانت رفيقتي في السكن

والدراسة لمدة عامين في مدينة بادوفا في إيطاليا . علما أن صديقتي اسراء نشأت في أسرة فلسطينية لاجئة أجبر أجدادها على النزوح من فلسطين عام 1948 إلى مخيمات قطاع غزة تاركين كل ما يملكون من أرض وخيرات قصرا حيث عاشت الأسرة حياة اللاجئين في مخيمات قطاع غزة بكل معاناتها.

كانت صديقتي إسراء في عمر الثانية عشرة كما حدثتني تحلم بأن تكون مهندسة في تكنولوجيا المعلومات وما يعرف بالذكاء الاصطناعي هذا الفضاء الذي بدأ يتسع مبهرا للأجيال الشابة وطريق لتحقيق الذات وخدمة الإنسانية وتقوية روابط الشعوب

أما أخيها أمجد الأقرب إليها الذي يرغب في مرافقتها في السفر ليكونا سويا والذي يشاركها في كثير من الهوايات كان يحلم من صغره بأن يكون نجما في لعبة كرة السلة لامتلاكه المهارات الفردية التي تتطلبها اللعبة حيث يساعده ذكاؤه وطوله البالغ 195 سم لممارستها والتحق منذ نعومة أظافره بفرق الفتيان في المخيم الذي يقطنه ولعب مع فرق مدارس اللاجئين والمدرسة الثانوية وكذلك مع الأندية التي تمارس هذه اللعبة وتنقل بين عدة أندية محلية في قطاع غزة منها نادي خدمات المغازي ونادي غزة الرياضي و جمعية الشبان المسيحية وغيرها التي حصلت على بطولات على مستوى قطاع غزة أثناء مشاركته فيها .

ولكي تصقل مهاراته التحق في الكلية الجامعية في تخصص التربية الرياضية حيث كان لاعبا في فريق الكلية وأيضا بسبب خبرته الرياضية كثيرا ما كان ينوب عن معلميه في تعليم أقرانه , وفي نهاية سنوات الدراسة وبانتظار استلام شهادته قامت هذه الحرب الكارثية التي هدمت كثير من الجامعات و تسببت في إغلاقها وهو ينتظر بكل أمل انتهاء هذه الحرب القاسية لاستلام شهادات التخرج والسفر إلى الخارج ليمارس لعبته المفضلة ويحقق طموحه في أن يكون نجما في هذه اللعبة ويمارس تدريب الفتيان والفتيات لإداركه أهمية التدريب في مثل هذا العمر المبكر

أما إسراء كانت قد التحقت بجامعة الأزهر في غزة في كلية هندسة الحاسوب والاتصالات وتخرجت منها بمعدل مميز حيث حصلت على درجة البكالوريوس بامتياز مع مرتبة الشرف , وتمسكا بأحلامها منذ الصغر حصلت على فرصة للالتحاق ببرنامج الماجستير للذكاء الاصطناعي بجامعة بادوفا بإيطاليا حيث التقينا وعشنا سويا وتخرجت بمعدل امتياز وبعد عودتها لغزة تقدمت لاختبارات لشغل وظيفة محاضر في مجالات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والذكاء الاصطناعي وكان لها حظ جيد بالفوز بعدة عقود للتدريس في جامعات الازهر والأقصى وجامعة غزة وغيرها وذلك بنظام العقد السنوي والساعات الفصلية والان نتيجة لهذه الحرب المدمرة التي تسببت في اغلاق الجامعات وتدميرها وعدم وجود أي فرصة واضحة لاستئناف عملها بدأت تتطلع بشوق للخروج من غزة للبحث عن فرصة عمل ودراسة الدكتوراة في مجال تخصصها .

وهنا نقف لنجد الأيام شاخصة أمام أعيننا تمر ببطء وثقل وخوف وموت متناثر من حولنا وشظايا تتساقط داخل البيت وحوله، إسراء وأخيها لم يحتملا انتظار الفرص فكان عليهما أن يبادرا سعيا إلى إيجاد الفرص وصناعتها لذلك نتوجه بقلوبنا وامالنا واحلامنا لكل صاحب قلب طيب وعقل منفتح محب للمساهمة في بناء حياة الآخرين

حيث نؤمن أن حياة الانسان هي الأغلى وأن روح المودة والإنسانية هي الأقوى وهي التي تنتصر لبناء الحياة وتعزيز الروابط بين الناس.

وكذلك ستكون فرص نجاحهما في العمل بالخارج فرصة ثمينة لبناء مستقبلهما ومساعدة عائلتهما التي فقدت مصدر دخلها وهدم بيتها ونزحت لمرات عديدة في مناطق مختلفة

لذا نناشد كل من يؤمن بالحياة الإنسانية ودعم فرص الشباب أن يقف بجانبهم لتحقيق أحلامهم لنكون شركاء في بناء الحياة , علما بأن السفر إلى خارج قطاع غزة في الظروف الحالية يتطلب 5000 يورو للفرد كرسوم مغادرة المعبر فقط إضافة إلى تكاليف السفر ورسوم الحدود وجوازات السفر والإقامة في مصر وتذاكر الطيران للمغادرة يحتاج إلى مبلغ لا يقل عن 7000 يورو ومصروفات أخرى بمبلغ 2000 يورو .

ملاحظة: أنا أدير حملة جمع التبرعات هذه نيابة عن صديقتي إسراء. لقد أنشأت هذه الحملة فقط لاستخدام حسابي البنكي لجمع التبرعات. ستذهب جميع الأموال التي سيتم جمعها مباشرةً إلى إسراء وعائلتها.

Israa Najjar, my close friend from Gaza, was my roommate and classmate for two years in Padua, Italy. Her story is one of perseverance, dreams, and the unyielding desire to build a better future, despite the hardships she faced from the very beginning.

Israa was born into a Palestinian refugee family. Her grandparents were forced to flee their homeland in 1948, leaving behind everything they had. They ended up in a refugee camp in Gaza, where the family endured the harsh realities of life as refugees. Despite the struggles, Israa was determined to rise above her circumstances and make something of herself.

When Israa was just twelve years old, she shared with me her dream of becoming an engineer specializing in Information Technology, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence. She was captivated by the vast potential of this emerging field, seeing it as a path to self-realization, a way to serve humanity, and a means to strengthen connections between different cultures and peoples.

Her brother, Amjad, was her closest companion, sharing many of her interests. Amjad dreamed of becoming a basketball star, driven by his love for the game and his natural talent. Standing at 195 cm tall, with a sharp mind and impressive skills, he had all the makings of a great player. From a young age, he joined youth teams in the refugee camp where they lived and played for various school teams, as well as local clubs like Al-Maghazi Services Club, Gaza Sports Club, and the YMCA. Amjad’s talent shone through, helping his teams win championships across Gaza.

To further hone his skills, Amjad enrolled in a college program specializing in Physical Education. He played on the college team and, due to his experience, often stepped in to help teach his peers. As he neared the end of his studies, eagerly awaiting his graduation, the devastating war struck Gaza. The war led to the destruction and closure of many universities, leaving Amjad in a painful limbo, waiting for the conflict to end so he could receive his degree, pursue his dream of becoming a basketball star, and train young athletes, understanding the importance of early development.

Israa, on the other hand, graduated from Al-Azhar University in Gaza with a degree in Computer and Communication Engineering, earning top honors. Holding onto her childhood dreams, she secured a spot in a Master's program in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Padua in Italy, where we met and lived together. After graduating with distinction, Israa returned to Gaza and applied for teaching positions in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. She was fortunate to secure several contracts to teach at Al-Azhar University, Al-Aqsa University, and Gaza University, among others, on an annual and part-time basis.

However, the recent destructive war in Gaza led to the closure of these universities, leaving Israa without any clear prospects for resuming her work. Faced with this uncertainty, she began to long for an opportunity to leave Gaza, seeking both employment and a chance to pursue a PhD in her field.

Now, as we stand amid the slow, heavy passage of days filled with fear, death, and falling shrapnel around us, Israa and her brother Amjad cannot afford to wait for opportunities to come their way. They must take the initiative to create their own chances. With hearts full of hope and dreams, they turn to all those with open hearts and minds who are willing to help build better lives for others.

We believe that human life is precious, and that compassion and humanity are the strongest forces in building a future and fostering connections between people. The chance to succeed abroad would be invaluable not only for Israa and Amjad’s future but also for supporting their family, which has lost its source of income, seen their home destroyed, and been displaced multiple times across different areas.

Therefore, we appeal to anyone who believes in the value of human life and the importance of supporting young people to stand by Israa and Amjad in their quest to achieve their dreams. By doing so, we can be partners in building a better life for them and their family. It’s important to note that leaving Gaza in the current circumstances requires €5,000 per person just for the exit fees, plus travel expenses, border fees, passports, accommodation in Egypt, and flight tickets, totaling at least €7,000, with additional expenses reaching €2,000.

Note: I am managing this fundraising effort on behalf of my friend, Israa. I established this campaign solely to use my bank account for collecting donations. All funds raised will be sent directly to Israa and her family.
