Let’s help Ahmad and his family to find safety

Hi everyone, my name is Aishah and I am Ahmed’s friend. I started this fundraiser to help Ahmad and his family.
Ahmad's Message:
Dear all,
My name is Ahmad, and I was born 26 years ago in a neighborhood in Gaza City. It once was a beautiful neighborhood, a place that my wife and I used to call home; but now, this home turned into piles of rubble and dust.

My family and I fled at the beginning of the war, and now we have nothing left but our lives, with the blessing of three children: Anas, who is 3 years old, Shatha, who is 2, and the last blessing that God gave us, Adam, who was born between the bombings, in November.

When my wife was about to deliver Adam, our second daughter Shatha wanted to stay with my mother in law, and we thought it was a wise idea, because it wouldn’t be easy to take care of two little kids and a nine-month pregnant wife in the middle of a war like this. But war is unpredictable, and that decision separated us since then. Thank God Shatha is fine, with my wife’s relatives, but the Gaza Strip is cut in two by the army and without a ceasefire it’s not safe for anyone to cross the line they imposed. As soon as it is safe we will reunite with Shatha, we miss her so much.
Here, in the Gaza Strip, I have both my parents, two sisters and three brothers, but unfortunately, we are not all together: a part of the family is still in the North, and we struggle to stay in contact. I’m looking forward to seeing my family again together.
Remembering how we used to live only a few months ago, although it was a tough life, is heartbreaking. Before the war I used to work as a software engineer, which was more than a job to me: it was - and is - a passion. I used to develop apps, and although it may seem a small thing amidst this desolation, I really miss the feeling of opening my laptop to create small worlds.

We find ourselves displaced, like countless other Gazans, seeking help, but asking for help is not something we are used to. If it was only for my own sake, I probably would not ask, however, my family’s safety is at stake, and I cannot simply stand idly by.
When we’ll be able to get back our little Shatha, a part of my family – my wife and I, our three kids and my little sister – wish to flee across Rafah but unfortunately, to accomplish this we need money, and regrettably, we possess none.
Also finding any supply, especially for kids, is much more expensive than before. No way to find any diapers for our children, and sometimes I don’t know how to warm water for Adam’s baby formula when we get a bit. My wife can’t breastfeed him because she herself has nothing to eat.
If, at this point, you are still reading, then you know that there is generosity in your heart. Any contribution can make the difference for us. Please, help us in the way you can to get out of here. I will update you.
Thank you in advance for everything,
Hope you are in peace,
Ahmad
