Ahna's New Kidney Journey

Ahna is a bright 10 year old girl who was diagnosed with ESRD (stage 4 kidney failure) in November of 2023 after 1 year and 4 months on hemodialysis, she is now onto her journey with a brand new kidney and an all new set of life challenges. From doctors appointments for labs and getting her sister back and forth to day care to missing work for appointments. As well as her being on a specific diet. Our new normal will be a change for shure. She will be out of school probably till she goes back to school next year, mainly beacuse she has to have her immune system suppressed to keep her new kidney functioning. So for a while she will be away from big crowds and kind of stuck at home once she is discharged for probably up to 3 to 6 months. We can use all of the help that we can get. Thanks to all of your support and best wishes. This little girl is amazing. The money donated goes to all of Ahna's medical bills and needs. From Medicare payments (so she can stay insured) to transportation costs as well as anything in between. Ahna is also in need of some new things to help keep her occupied while she is stuck inside(she loves listening to music and playing music) While she is going to be extra susceptible to getting sick we are going through all of our things and removing a bunch of things that are hard to clean or just in dire need of replacing to help keep her as healthy as possible. One of those items being the carpet in our house, we are just picking away one day at a time. Anything we can do to help make extra sure we keep our kidney warrior as healthy as possible.
