Help Ukraine!

My name is Eugene Berman. I was born 50 years ago in a Ukrainian city called Kharkiv. I left my hometown 30 years ago and live in the US, but I'm still in touch with my friends and classmates there.

People in Ukraine desperately need medical supplies, food, arms, and everything else needed in time of war. I've been helping as much as I could, but it's not enough. Therefore I started a fundraiser here, asking you for help. Any dollar you spare may save a life!

 

How does it work?

 

I'm constantly in touch with my friend and former classmate Oleg, who lives in Ukraine (yeah, that guy playing guitar in the video), who works with local defense forces and humanitarian organizations. Every so often, he sends me a list of things they need the most, and depending on the situation, I either order supplies here and ship them to Ukraine or just send him cash so that they can buy whatever they need.

 

What do you get for your donation?

 

I hate to say that, but unfortunately, you get nothing for your money, except our Thank You. I wish we could send you a patch or a sticker or even an IRS form so that you can write off your donation, but we're not even an official organization, just two old friends trying to make a difference and save lives.

Of course, when the war is over, you are more than welcome to visit Ukraine (I'm planning to!) and enjoy the Ukrainian people's hospitality, culture and food.

My friend just sent me some photos of the supplies they purchased using these funds. Thank you all for your generosity and support! We are all just humans, but together we can make some difference and hopefully help to stop this madness!
