Stan Needs Your Help!

It may be his helpfulness and his goodness as he goes about his work at Columbus House in New Haven, CT (Mission: “to serve people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by providing shelter and housing and by fostering their personal growth and independence”) that makes people love Stan Rosen.
In February, Stan, a former elementary school teacher, felt unwell. The unexpected diagnosis: malignant brain tumor. An immediate brain operation. His two five-year old granddaughters accept that grandfather is not feeling well, but his wife and four daughters are devastated.
His wife, Sigita Rosen, an early childhood educator, works two jobs and drives her husband to doctor appointments, the hospital, to therapy. It pains her to see her husband trying to work shorter hours and to help around the house while dealing with repeated sessions of chemotherapy and radiation.
And now bills for medications and treatments that insurance does not cover are piling up. The family would be very grateful for financial assistance in their hour of need.
