Aid Akira Galaxy’s Band & Crew’s Tour After Gear Loss

Last night after our show at The Wiltern in LA, our tour van was broken into and the burglars walked away with thousands of dollars worth of our gear. We lost a guitar amp, 2 laptops, a handful of sound gear, camera equipment including mics and 5 cameras, and 6 hard drives filled with years of work. At the end of the day we’re all artists too, and the emotional ties to these items could never be tallied.

We are so grateful for this opportunity to open for Travis on our first full US tour, but given the toll this has taken on us so early in the run, we’re humbly asking for some help. And there are a lot of causes in the world right now that require attention and monetary assistance, so we feel a bit overwhelmed to be in this position of asking for anything. While trying to wrap our heads around this today, our friends and family have asked how they can support us so we’ve opened up this GoFundMe which equates to the total amount of our gear lost.

We’re lucky to be in a situation where this doesn’t stop us from playing, and while at a physical loss, our spirits are kept high knowing we get to be on stage each night. The time you took to read this and your kind thoughts mean as much as any dollar you may donate.
