Aid Alssya and Angel After Airboat Accident

Donation protected
Hello,

My name is Keana Carr, and I’m reaching out to you in a time of unimaginable hardship. My Cousin Alssya Windom a 31-year-old single mother, currently Seven months pregnant with second child, and the past few days have turned their life upside down.

On Friday December 13th 2024 at approximately 3:15pm, her 7-year-old son, [Angel], and herself , along with his football teammates and their parents, touring with Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tours were involved in a catastrophic airboat accident in Ochopee, Florida. The crash left Alssya with a broken tailbone, an injured leg, and deep emotional trauma. Her son, who is normally the life of the party and a smart, vibrant kid, is now struggling with severe PTSD and nightmares from the incident.

As a flight attendant for United Airlines, she has always been able to support our family, working hard to balance her career, being a single mom, and even pursuing education. But after this accident, she can no longer work, and with maternity leave on the horizon, her ability to earn an income has been significantly impacted. On top of that, the accident occurred out of state, and her having to be airlifted to the hospital—a major additional cost.

I’m asking for your support to help cover their soon to be overwhelming medical bills, therapy expenses, and the cost of securing legal representation. Recovery will be a long road, and we still don’t know what the final expenses will be, but we are starting this campaign with a goal of $50,000 to help cover:
* Medical expenses, including hospital bills, treatment for injuries (tailbone and leg), and long-term recovery needs.
* Therapy and counseling for both Alssya and Angel to address the physical and emotional trauma.
* Legal fees to navigate the complexities of this accident and ensure that they have the resources to recover fully.
* General living expenses as she is unable to work at this time and cannot support her family in the same way.
Her son loves football, school, and being around people, but the trauma of this event has left him withdrawn and struggling to process what happened. Shes determined to help him heal, as well as recover physically and emotionally herself, but we cannot do it without help.

She has always prided herself on being a hardworking, independent mother. Angel has always been her biggest motivator, and I will do anything to get them back to a place of health and happiness. But right now, we need your help to get through this incredibly difficult time.
If you are able, please consider donating, sharing this campaign with your friends and family, or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support during this time of need.
With love and gratitude,
Keana Carr
