Aid Anwar's Family in Finding Peace and Safety

Our Story

Hello, my name is Anwar, Palestinian from Gaza, specifically from Deir al-Balah, I am 26 years old and I am starting this fundraising campaign to secure a safer and more stable future for me and my family. We are still experiencing suffering in Gaza, especially in light of the ongoing conflict and its escalation, which has severely affected our lives and our future.

My sister will have a baby in the coming days during these difficult times. I will be an uncle for the first time. She will be a beautiful child, her courage will bring light to our lives, but the reality we face threatens us. We live in a rental house that sustained minor damage due to the conflict.

Moreover, she will give birth in difficult circumstances. We need to provide healthy food, healthy water, milk and some things for the baby, and all of this, if available, will come at a high price due to the conflict.

Impact of War

The war left deep scars. My sister's baby girl will be born into real suffering and death. The sounds of conflict are part of our daily lives, a situation no child should ever have to face. Our education and employment have also been disrupted, which is crucial to our development and future. Without the stability of education and employment, our future is uncertain, and opportunities are rapidly diminishing.

What increases our suffering is that my father suffers from chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and faces a frightening scarcity of necessary medications. The ongoing conflict has exacerbated this deficiency, putting his health at serious risk every day.

Teaching my Brother

Moreover, my brother, who was about to complete his studies, now finds his dreams shattered when his university is bombed. The destruction of his university not only disrupted his education but also added uncertainty and instability to our family situation.

Why do we need your help?

We are seeking your support to raise $50,000 to help me and my family leave Gaza and move to a safe environment where the baby girl can grow up in a safe environment and grow away from the trauma of war.

Below are details of evacuation costs:

Adults (6 adults x $5,000): $30,000

Newborn baby: $2,500

Transportation support (initial housing and food expenses): $5,000

Additional costs (taxes, GoFundMe fees, money transfer fees) are $5,000

Every dollar raised goes directly to the costs of evacuating me and my family and preparing us to start a new life in a safe place, including travel costs, initial accommodation and basic needs when transporting, when the crossing opens.
