Aid Barbara and Dasher After Fire Disaster

Hello, my name is Amy Moore. A lot of people know me as helping with Helene relief. Through our community, I have been introduced to Barbara and Dasher.

Unfortunately, Barbara and Dasher lost their home during a fire that took place on Saturday afternoon. Barbra was returning home after a 3-day stay in the hospital to find her apartment on fire. Her dachshund, Dasher, was caught in the fire. We are beyond grateful for the fire crew that saved Dasher and were able to extinguish the fire.

Barbara does have renters' insurance; they are only covering her hotel stay until the 13th of January. Right now, she is in limbo. She needs to find a place to live. She will need help covering extra hotel nights ($145 a night) until she can find a home, possible deposits for utilities and a new place, and help replacing some of the items lost.
