Aid Benjamin Jacobs' Family in Crisis

My name is Benjamin Jacobs. My daughter has been diagnosed with Autism for many years, but the state I live in has consistently failed to provide the proper level of care, meaning that her behaviors have slowly escalated over time despite my and my wife's best efforts and the efforts of her teachers and therapists. This year the situation has reached a critical point where we have had to send her to an inpatient facility. She was stabilized and discharged but again the promised services have not materialized, leading to a two week spiral that has culminated in a hospital placement again.

I am lucky in many ways. My insurance is good and is covering the medical bills. However my salary is not generous and the costs of gas, eating at hospital cafeterias, and parking have been adding up over the last several months. I am now at a point where I am out of vacation time and sick time as well, so I have to work while my wife is in the hospital with our daughter, and I am still not able to pay all the bills due to the seemingly incidental costs and debts associated with her care.
